what i would suggest, is to download vDownloader from here: http://www.vdownloader.es/download.html

you can download and convert them using just that one program.
if you want to put them on a dvd then have the output set to .vob
then use nero to burn them on to a disk

i think that would probably be the easiest way to do it.

well that vdownloader program will do it for you.

just select the output format, paste the url, and click download. it does the rest for you
it even has a search so you dont have to look through multiple website to find what you want.

Gee Thanks Fury!  Grin

Alright DN. I convert YT videos to avi format for making animated gifs. I know for the best looking videos on DVD's the files need to be MPEG-Layer 2. Those are the best for creating crisp DVD's. To create VOB files, MPEG-Layer 2 would be the standard media you need to create them. It depends on the software you use...You have to remember that most YT vids you find are not the best resolution to start with, they have been resized and some are just fuzzy...stay away from those...Look for the high res ones...the reason most flash videos won't play on DVD players is because they are not converted to MPEG layer 2.

If you seriously want to make your own videos. I use Sony Vegas 4. It's the older version but when it was available it was the best for creating...as easy as taking video clips and dropping them onto a board...If you are familiar with ACID PRO for audio looping Vegas 4 works just like that...

It can use a wide array of files from WMV, AVI, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2.

So in essance you need something that can convert YT to MPEG-Layer 2. Once you have the MPEG2 files you can create good DVD's.

We are all here to help each other...

Suggestions as in videos to create? lol

I am into kung fu flicks (the mrs hates them but puts up with it for the sake of our long lasting relationship)...Kung fu movies are like ballet when placed alongside a good musical track...it all flows together. I try to blend punches and kicks with bouncy beats or old school classic rock...I have a thread around here which links to some stuff I posted on youtube...Miko has been there and seen some stuff I did...

I try to create what the song is about...

I'm not a pro at this stuff but I enjoy making them nearly as much as making CAWS. Almost.

The effects in the beginning are created using the program I mentioned earlier...Sony Vegas

If you are into wrestling then you can replace kung fu for some good finishers and slams...its all up to imagination I guess....
