When watching a movie, and the original language is different than your normal one, do you prefer...

- A translated version of the film.
or
- The original version with subtitles.

I prefer seeing the original language with subtitles...most voice over dubbed versions have horrible translations of whats being said and or the voices just never seem to fit the characters...exceptions to this would be Kung Fu flicks, especially those with lots of action...I am use to the voices always being a split second off for those kind of movies...

I always wondered are movies made here in the states viewed as foreign films in other countries?

Best Foreign film of the week I saw was "Days of Glory" on IFC...

I agree with Luc. I'll take the original.

most translated versions I've seen are out of sync. Wasn't many that I have seen, but I've seen a few.
