-- AJ Styles was forced to pull out of competing at last night's TNA Genesis pay-per-view due to injury. He said on his Twitter account that he tore his hip flexor and hip labrum. He promised to be back wrestling "real soon," but will miss the company's upcoming tour of the United Kingdom. Styles is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks.
-- As expected, TNA took the world title off Jeff Hardy due to pending legal issues. He's going to plead guilty to drug charges on January 20th. TNA is expecting Hardy to get a lot of media coverage from his trial, and it would obviously be pretty bad press for the company.
-- Matt Hardy made his TNA Wrestling debut at last night’s Genesis pay-per-view at the iMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida.
Hardy was revealed as Rob Van Dam’s hand-picked mystery opponent by Immortal. Hardy came out sporting a new look and new theme music.
Hardy ended up defeating Van Dam in a controversial finish as Van Dam’s leg was under the ropes.
-- Following TNA's Genesis pay-per-view broadcast, Mr. Anderson and referee Earl Hebner celebrated and played to the audience.
– TNA Genesis was a trending worldwide topic last night on Twitter. Matt Hardy, who debuted at the event, also trended, but only amongst U.K. users. Tyler Reks began trending worldwide immediately following Hardy’s debut, apparently because Hardy’s new look drew comparisons to the WWE star.
