A source has indicated to BodySlam.net Managing Editor Brad Shepard that Bobby Lashley has agreed to terms with WWE.

Lashley, 41, is a former United States Champion and two-time ECW World Champion in WWE. He may be most remembered for his match with Umaga at WrestleMania 23 in the “Battle of The Billionaires”, between WWE CEO Vince McMahon and the current President of the United States, Donald Trump.

Lashley left the company in 2008 on less than ideal terms, after accusations of racial improprieties involving Michael “P.S.” Hayes.

Shortly after leaving WWE, Lashley transitioned into MMA, where he posted an impressive 15-2 career record. Most recently, he worked for Impact Wrestling, where he was a four-time World Champion. In January, he was granted an early release from his deal.

-Update-

With Bobby Lashley expected to return to the WWE in the near future, we have an update on when that time might be coming for the former IMPACT Wrestling star. Below is some more information about when Lashley could be returning, with a h/t to Ringside News for gathering the information.

According to Vince Russo’s co-host, Bin Hamin, who used to be a trainer for WWE’s developmental territory, Lashley is expected to make his return to the company either after the main event of WWE WrestleMania 34 or the next night on WWE Raw. Hamin claimed he had been told by a source on a recent episode of Vince Russo’s podcast.

Of course, a return at WrestleMania would be a huge deal, though right now we do not know what the main event of the show is, though Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns remains the most obvious choice. It had previously been speculated by Dave Meltzer that Lashley would feud with Brock Lesnar, but with his WWE future in question, that remains to be seen.
